Sober Curious Group

Sober Curious Group

Tubman is now offering a NEW Sober Curious group through Tubman Chrysalis Center, beginning April 2023.

2:00 - 4:00 p.m. Wednesdays, ongoing/drop-in
Open to adults of all genders, ages 18+
Via Telehealth (Zoom)
Public and private insurance accepted, no chemical health assessment required

This is an ongoing weekly group designed for those who are curious about exploring the impact of substance use in their lives, and developing other coping skills for emotion regulation and distress tolerance. The goal of the group is skill development and connection with peers regarding mental health and substance use topics - it is not a goal to convince all members to eventually move into sobriety/abstinence, but to develop tools for living a safe and healthy life, which may or may not include substance use.

Members decide how long to attend group - we recommend starting with 4-8 weeks to establish connection and a knowledge base, and re-evaluating after that. You can also drop in as needed. This group does not ask members to be sober/abstinent from all substances in their daily lives, but we ask that members come to group sessions not under the influence of substances.

To Register:

If you are already a Tubman client, ask your individual therapist about being enrolled in the group.

If you are not already established with Tubman, call our Intake Department at 612-870-2426 to request an intake appointment for the Sober Curious group.

Having an individual therapist is not required for attending the group, but if you are interested we can provide referrals.
