Join us for National Night Out

We’re getting the hot dogs and root beer floats ready, because National Night Out on August 7 is almost here. Taking place in neighborhoods across the county, this year marks the 35th anniversary of communities coming together in an effort to support one another. National Night Out began as a way for communities and police to build positive relationships in order to reduce and prevent neighborhood crime. Neighborhood block parties hosted by churches, nonprofits, police and fire stations, and other community organizations support this endeavor as a way to provide resources and encourage involvement. National Night Out is held on the first Tuesday in August in all states except Florida and Texas, which celebrate on the first Tuesday in October.

Tubman participates in National Night Out by hosting gatherings at our locations in Minneapolis and Maplewood. Games, food, crafts, and visits from local police and fire stations provide clients, residents and community members the chance to engage with one another. Join Tubman from 5:30-7:30 p.m. on August 7 at either Tubman East, Tubman West, or Tubman Chrysalis Center for an evening of building a stronger community.

Tubman East – 1725 Monastery Way, Maplewood, MN 55109
Tubman West – 3111 1st Ave. S., Minneapolis, MN 55408
Tubman Chrysalis Center – 4432 Chicago Ave S., Minneapolis, MN 55407

We hope you can join us!
