Ignite This World: Music and Activism through the Kelly Nicole Foundation

Kelly Nicole has touched the lives of those who listened to her music with her mastery of the guitar and her powerful lyrics. A survivor of abuse from an early age and a survivor of an eating disorder in her adult life, Kelly Nicole lives on in the hearts of those who knew her through the Kelly Nicole Foundation. The Kelly Nicole Foundation shares Kelly’s music and her story to support survivors of trauma and people with eating disorders. The friends and family of Kelly Nicole also donate to other organizations that support and promote the same work and awareness to help survivors of trauma.

The annual Ignite This World event is held to remember Kelly Nicole, her music, and her story. The family-friendly event features music, activities for kids, karaoke, anti-bullying workshops, film, a silent auction, other educational workshops, and a panel of speakers. This year’s panel will be made up of trauma experts, including Dr. Brigit Kelly, PhD., Tubman’s Director of Clinical Services, speaking on complex trauma work. Ignite the World 18 will take place on July 21, at Bowlero in Eden Prairie. Tickets for Ignite This World 18 can be found on Eventbrite.
