  • Tubman East, Tubman West, Tubman Chrysalis
    ------------------------------------------
    Help care for little ones while their parents attend counseling, support groups, or access other services. Assisting with the direct care of infants and children, Child Care Assistants implement developmentally appropriate learning opportunities and practice conflict resolution to maintain a peaceful, happy and safe atmosphere.

  • Tubman East and West
    -----------------------------------
    Personal Shoppers work one-on- one with community members and Tubman clients as they shop for and select casual and business-professional attire, offering a fun, personal experience and empowering support.

  • Tubman West
    Time commitment to this position is a minimum of 6 months, starting in mid-October.

    As part of Tubman's Development and Communications team, the Grant Writing Intern will help research grant opportunities, assist in writing proposals and reports, while gaining valuable skills in grant writing in a non-profit organization.

  • The Graphic Design Project Volunteer collaborates with a team to complete graphic design of Tubman’s Annual Report, with both print and online components, to share valuable information about the agency with stakeholders, community members, and more. This project has meaningful impact throughout the year and a broad community reach, and it could be used in personal graphic design portfolios.

  • The Legal Counseling Advocate assists clients and attorneys at legal advice clinics focusing on divorce, child custody and other family law issues. Provide services that enable individuals to better navigate the legal system and community resources. Weeknight or Friday morning availability needed.

  • Tubman Chrysalis Center

    The Safety Project Intern assists Tubman’s Safety Project staff in providing free representation for low income, domestic violence victims seeking attorneys for Orders for Protection and providing assistance for staff with administrative tasks, data entry, and communications.

  • Maplewood Mall
    ---------------------
    The NorthStar Youth Outreach Center at our Maplewood shelter location connects youth and young adults ages 13-24 of all genders, and their children, to a safe place to access basic needs, receive advocacy and resource referrals. A new location to expand the reach of services has now opened up at Maplewood Mall.

  • Tubman East, Tubman West, Tubman Chrysalis Center

    Resource Counseling Advocates are responsible for providing crisis intervention, supportive counseling, general information, and referral services to individuals who call or come into Tubman.

  • Special Events Committee Member

    Are you outgoing and love to talk to people? Tubman is looking for members to serve on the Soiree Committee. The Starlight Soiree is Tubman’s largest fundraiser of the year, and volunteers are integral to securing items for auction. Evening availability for meetings is required once a month for committee meetings.

  • Tubman East, Tubman West

    Collaborating with staff to support youth whose families have experienced violence, sexual assault, exploitation, stalking, and/or harassment, our Youth and Family Advocates are responsible for providing individualized supportive services and comprehensive advocacy to children, youth, and families currently living at Tubman’s shelters and Transitional Housing.
