  • Tubman East, Tubman West, Tubman Chrysalis Center
    Resource Counseling Advocates are responsible for providing crisis intervention, supportive counseling, general information, and referral services to individuals who call or come into Tubman.

    This position may be combined with either Personal Shopper in Harriet’s Closet, Child Care Assistant, or Youth Outreach Center Advocate at Maplewood Mall to fulfill academic internship hour requirements.

  • Tubman West
    Brighten the holidays for Tubman families by supporting our annual holiday gift drive. Each year, Tubman’s holiday gift program provides donated gifts for over 700 adults and children. The Holiday Gift Program Assistant will do targeted outreach to community partners and organizes donated gifts to make a difference for families over the holiday season.

  • The Paralegal Intern assists Tubman’s legal department with projects such as drafting client correspondence and court documents, screening prospective legal clients, and administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and research.

  • Tubman West
    Tubman’s Voices in Prevention program leads classroom presentations in multiple middle and high schools throughout the Twin Cities metro area and eastern suburbs, teaching a curriculum about healthy relationships and violence prevention to students over the course of 6 weeks. The Violence Prevention Educator Intern supports this program, facilitating violence prevention informational sessions to youth in schools, individual meetings, and support groups.

    Intern must have daytime availability and ability to commit to an internship length of September through May.

  • Tubman East
    Make a difference in a young person’s life by working in the Safe Journeys Shelter, a dedicated floor of Tubman’s Maplewood shelter location that serves youth and young adults of all genders who have been exposed to relationship violence, dating violence, sexual assault and/or stalking, including individuals who are homeless, runaways, or have experienced sex trafficking.

  • Tubman East, Tubman West
    Collaborating with staff to support youth whose families have experienced violence, sexual assault, exploitation, stalking, and/or harassment, our Youth and Family Advocates are responsible for providing individualized supportive services and comprehensive advocacy to children, youth, and families currently living at Tubman’s shelters and Transitional Housing.
