Groups
Tubman offers a range of therapy groups for a variety of presenting concerns and needs. Some groups focus on skill-building and psychoeducation, and others emphasize more sharing and processing. Some of the groups require that clients also be working with an individual therapist. To participate in the Dialectic Behavior Therapy group, individuals must have an individual DBT therapist at Tubman.
Prior to starting in any group, we ask individuals to complete an intake session with one of our individual therapists to assess whether the group is a good fit and the appropriate level of care. Upon completing the intake, the therapist helps coordinate getting started in the group or if appropriate, makes another recommendation.
