Expanded Counseling & Therapy Services

Tubman Chrysalis Center has expanded its reach into the community by offering more counseling and therapy to women, men, children, adolescents, couples and families struggling with trauma, abuse, depression, family conflicts and relationship problems. The growth and expanded accessibility has especially impacted the former women’s center abilities to serve more men, as well as more youth and adolescents.

A limited number of these services are now offered at Harriet Tubman Center East in Maplewood, providing mental health counseling and therapy.

Tubman’s counselors and therapists are experienced and qualified with diverse interests and specialties, including licensed psychologists, licensed independent clinical social workers, licensed marriage and family therapists, licensed clinical nurse specialists, youth and adolescent therapists, and masters and doctoral level interns

In addition to mental and chemical health care, Tubman’s core services also include a co-occurring disorder program (simultaneous mental and chemical health), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT-emotion response management), holistic abuse prevention (for men and women who have been abusive), and a full complement of support groups.
