Thank you to all who came out for our 21st Annual Wing Ding. We had such a great time and hope you did too!
From the red carpet to the graffiti wall, we were so impressed by the delicious wings, auction items, fun and games. Though we’re still working to gather the final numbers, we can certainly say this was a very successful event thanks to you, the 900+ friends and supporters that came out to The Depot to support Tubman!
It is said a picture is worth a thousand words. But for children living in shelters, one photograph can also represent a thousand dreams. In an effort to inspire these children to look toward a better future, Tubman is honored to announce our participation in the 2014 Pictures of Hope program in partnership with Chevrolet and photojournalist Linda Solomon.
Pictures of Hope travels across the country to present digital cameras to at-risk children who are living in shelters. The young photographers are given a photography tutorial and their first assignment: capture your “hopes and dreams” in photographs. The final products are made into holiday greeting cards and 100 percent of the proceeds benefit the shelters and facilities in each city thanks to the generosity of Chevrolet and it’s local dealers. Tubman’s very own photography tutorial with be held on August 26th, 2014.
We want to thank On Location TV19 for featuring us on their Local Image show designed to capture positive stories in our communities. Tubman’s segment runs from 13:30 – 21:00! Check it out!
